After the download
Pese reads SMS, so Android asks for a few extra taps.
- Allow Chrome to install appsTap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, go back.
- Play Protect: tap Scan, then InstallThis checks the installer.
- In Pese Installer, tap Install PeseAllow installs, then tap Install. If Play Protect asks, Scan, then Install.
- Open Pese and allow SMSAndroid 13 and newer block it once.
- App info, ⋮, Allow restricted settingsThen allow SMS in Pese again.
Privacy
Your SMS, amounts and payees never leave the phone.
Until 15 Nov 2026 the beta also sends usage and settings counts, crash reasons and the phone model to my own Grafana. Deleted after the beta.
